Artist Statement

To me, being pro-choice is respecting women's autonomy over our own bodies. That includes whether to become, or remain, pregnant. Forcing someone to remain pregnant against their wishes, is equally as bad as terminating someone's pregnancy against their will or preventing them from becoming pregnant. None of these are okay within a pro-choice framework. And in The First Martian, we see the emotional fallout from these varying violations of women's bodily autonomy.
